On June 9, the 2023 World Power Battery Conference, hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the theme of "New Green Power for the Future and New Growth-driver for the World", was opened in Yibin, Sichuan Province.

He pointed out that Far East Yibin Intelligent Industrial Park was the first power battery-supporting project settled in Nanxi. The smooth start of production of Phase I and the comprehensive launch of Phase II today marks a new chapter in the development of the power battery and supporting industries in Nanxi District. This will certainly inspire Far East Holding Group to move forward towards its vision of becoming a global leader in the cable and smart energy industry, and will also promote Nanxi's industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as the high-quality development of the "Human-Industry-City" integration demonstration zone.
He also mentioned that Yibin is the "capital of China's power battery" and is vigorously building the world's largest power battery industry cluster with a total production capacity of 305GWh. According to the analysis of supporting production capacity, the city's demand for copper foil is about 2.44 million tons (the production of 1GWh of lithium battery consumes about 800 tons of lithium copper), which indicates that there is huge market potential and broad development space. Nanxi District is stepping up efforts to speed up the construction of a 250,000-300,000-ton copper (aluminum) foil industry, a 200,000-ton new energy positive electrode material industry, and an energy storage and production industry, demonstrating that it is advancing towards the grand goal of becoming a "major power battery and supporting industry base in China". He hopes that in the future, Far East Holding Group can further integrate resources, optimize the layout, increase investment in Nanxi District, and speed up project construction. Meanwhile, it is hoped that Far East Holding Group, adhering to the Three-sphere Integrated Principle emphasizing striking a balance between safety, quality, and progress, will complete the project construction and achieve maximum production as soon as possible.

Zang Yanlong stated that as a leading benchmark enterprise in the cable industry, Far East was one of the top 500 companies in China, one of the top 500 private enterprises in China, and also a strategic partner of China Railway Construction Group. China's Railway Construction has been on a fast track, and the development philosophy of Far East, which has been implemented unswervingly for 38 years, highly aligns with that of China Railway Construction Group. Far East Yibin Intelligent Industrial Park, settled in the Nanxi Economic Development Zone of Yibin, Sichuan, reflects the development strategy of Far East which gives priority to the simultaneous development of cable and new energy industry and is a strategic move by Far East to seize development opportunities and brand dividends and further expand market share. At the same time, it is also a powerful measure in response to the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle strategy, and helping Yibin build a trillion-level lithium battery production base and one of the largest intelligent cable bases in Sichuan Province.
